Austria 5

Today's post is going to feature people, because I didn't go any places, except back to the train station, back to Vienna, back to Patrick's apartment. He came to travel with me, even though it is difficult, which I appreciate. But he has learned that he can't make it worse (or better) so he came. He did really get terrible pain in his left hand by reaching for a suitcase, forgetting momentarily about his strange hand, and paying the price after!

So many people from our Mountain Plains Chapter of the Music Library Association came to this conference! It was kind of funny! I got pictures of most people, though did not think to capture them in action, since most of them presented papers or posters. Here we all are: from top to bottom, Janice with Sara from Kansas (although she grew up in Oklahoma). This was Sara's first time to travel outside of the United States. Next is Carolyn from Saskatchewan (although she grew up in BC). Lisa from the University of Utah, and her husband Miguel, also faculty at the U (although they grew up NOT in Utah.) Jeff and Janice, both from BYU (Jeff grew up in Logan, and Janice in Provo). David and his students Hailey and Jacob, with whom he co-presented. He is a really practised student mentor. They are lucky to get to work with him. Last is Stephanie and me. She is from UC Boulder, but also did not grow up in Colorado.

And then, these pictures of BYU people with Patrick after he arrived. He enjoyed a good chance to visit with David and Jeff, and then some extra Jeff time.

Edited to add that Patrick also had a good visit with Lisa and Miguel, only I didn't take a picture because Lisa has been sick, and didn't want to share with Patrick, so she kept her distance!
