October 14-16, 1982

I am now in the third volume of Kelli's old journals. This one is intact, with every picture and paper still in place. That makes it a little bit easier!

October 14, 1982 -- Besides the fun of Kelli's first birthday at school, a lot of other neat things happened today. Kelli's birthday wishes began bright and early at 6:45 AM when Grandpa and Grandma Conrad called her to say "Happy Birthday!" And, Stefani Sadler and her children surprised us by giving Kelli a birthday visit [and a gift: a puzzle of Jesus, and a book called "Leo the Lop" about a lop-eared rabbit]. Then, at 5:45 pm we blindfolded Kelli and went for a drive. At Chuck E. Cheese, we removed the blindfold. It was such fun! Kelli got very excited! She loved all the slides! We shared the celebration with Grandma Lund, Arlene, Michael, Jenna and Lance.

October 16, 1982 -- Today was Jerry Sadler's birthday party. His birthday is really the same day as Kelli's, but his party was today. Kelli and Abbi gave Jerry a big horse trailer-truck with two horses inside it. Kelli got to bring home a book called "My Flight Bag Book" and a package of nuts and raisins that she is going to save to take to school for snack time.
