January 31, 1981 -- Grandpa and Grandma Conrad have been visiting with us [having come to San Diego after B & J's wedding in Tucson] and today they took our whole family to the Wild Animal Park. Kelli had a bit of a cold, so she felt a little sick. She got tired and fell asleep on the monorail and missed seeing some of the animals. But she enjoyed the elephant show, and she really liked the bird show! The birds could talk and sing and laugh and were really funny! She got to go into the petting zoo and touch all kinds of goats, too.

February 2, 1981 -- Today Kelli's dance class met on Monday for the first time. When the children were at the barre for their ballet, the teacher asked "Who can show us
relevé?" Kelli said, "I can!" And sure enough, she showed all the other girls how to do
relevé! I was so proud of her! Then Grandpa and Grandma C. took all of us and Auntie Arlene's family to eat at Sir George's [an all you can eat buffet] and it tasted good!
On February 4, when Kelli said her prayers, she was listing so many people (mommy, Abbi, Daddy, Kelli, Grandma C, Grandpa C, Grandma L, Grandpa L, Arlene, Jenna, Lance, Michael, Grandma Lund, Grandpa Lund, etc. etc.) Then she looked up at me and said, "I have to say all my people!"
On February 6, Grandma C. bought Kelli brand new tap shoes! She loves them so much! She wants to wear them all the time!
